Free and open to the public- Registration Requested

Join us for a special evening with Marilou Schultz, a fourth-generation Navajo weaver whose work bridges ancestral weaving traditions and contemporary visual culture. Schultz will share images and stories from her decades-long practice, offering insight into her creative process, the cultural foundations of Diné weaving, and her ongoing exploration of pattern, structure, and innovation.

Best known for her intricate textile works inspired by digital technologies such as microchips and circuit boards, Schultz approaches weaving as both an art form and a living tradition. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and Documenta 14. Drawing from generations of knowledge while embracing new ideas and materials, her weavings reflect a deep engagement with both heritage and the present moment.

This informal talk will include a presentation of her work, personal reflections on her artistic journey, and time for questions. Schultz will also bring a selection of weavings and related items to view and purchase.

This event is free and open to all. Registration is requested. Please reserve a space for each person attending.
