Woodblock Printing: A Workshop with Merlin Dailey – CLOSED

Participants will develop artistic skills using multiple tools and design concepts. The workshop invites participants of varying levels to address compositional elements, styles and the use of materials. The emphasis of the class will be upon drawing what the individual’s eye experiences.

Merlin Dailey has taught printmaking and drawing for many years at the college level,from which he is now retired. He has a BFA degree from the Kansas City Art Institute and an MFA degree from the University of Indiana in printmaking and Asian art history. He studied painting with Ross Braught, printmaking with Rudy Pozatti, and art history with Theodore Bowie. Over the years he has had numerous exhibitions of his art in university and professional gallery settings. His lifelong interest is clarification of the human experience as revealed in art.
