Flute Magic: Songs & Prayers

Join flutist Paul Schliffer and pianist Joseph Pepper for an afternoon of music exploring themes of beauty, reflection, and human connection. Drawing from classical, folk, and contemporary traditions, the program features works by Bach, Mozart, Brahms, Fauré, Ravel, José Lezcano, Thomas de Hartmann, and others.
Schliffer and Pepper are longtime collaborators whose performances combine technical mastery with a deep appreciation for music as a shared human experience. The concert will include lyrical melodies, spirited variations, and contemplative pieces that invite listeners into the "magic and mystery of music."
Paul Schliffer is a founding member of Ensemble Resonance and co-founder of the annual Creating Resonance Flute Retreat held at the Rochester Folk Art Guild. Joseph Pepper is a pianist, piano technician, and teacher based in the Finger Lakes region who has performed extensively as both a soloist and collaborative musician.
This free concert is open to the public. Seating is first come, first served.
