Dates: Saturday, February 13 through Monday, February 15, 2027
Time: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily (studio access available after hours)
Location: Rochester Folk Art Guild, 1445 Upper Hill Road, Middlesex, NY
Spend a weekend at the loom exploring the craft of weaving. Whether you are stepping behind a floor loom for the first time or returning with experience and ideas of your own, this workshop offers individualized instruction in a supportive studio setting.
Participants will develop projects suited to their interests and skill level, with plenty of time to experiment, learn, and create. Beginners can focus on the fundamentals of loom setup, warping, and weaving through a guided project, while more experienced weavers are welcome to pursue personal goals, explore new techniques, and deepen their practice.
Each participant will have access to their own floor loom and receive hands-on guidance throughout the weekend. Instruction is tailored to the individual, allowing students to work at their own pace while building confidence, skill, and creative independence.
Students will leave with finished work, new techniques, and a deeper appreciation for the creative possibilities of floor loom weaving.
